Transport Tank 3000 L
In central Sweden and Gothenburg, the division of Skanska Industrial Solutions that works with rock materials operates. They not only have rigorous safety requirements but also high demands for mobility, as the crushing plants are moved across large parts of Sweden. When the division needed to purchase new diesel tanks for the operation, they chose MPP’s transport tank.
“MPP offers a great mobile solution that takes up little space in both height and width. Standard tanks are hexagonal, but MPP’s transport tanks are essentially square. This means you can access the tank from any direction and they are stackable. You also have more room for bulky items during transport, as well as spare parts. In principle, you can eliminate one vehicle per transport, which can save thousands,” says Kjell Norman, team leader for mobile crushers in central Sweden at Skanska Industrial Solutions.
Skanska Industrial Solutions has collaborated with MPP for several years and has purchased a total of six transport tanks—four in Västerås and two in Hallsberg. The two most recently purchased tanks also have thicker sheet metal to handle heavier loads. For the operation, it’s crucial to have durable tanks that won’t be dropped, even when working out in the forest. They must withstand being used in quarries where there are many sharp stones.
“MPP’s transport tank allows for safe lifting. It has a proper fork pocket where you can insert the forklift tines securely so they won’t slip. The tanks are also sealed all around, and you only use one hatch on top to open, refill, and empty. The tanks also have thicker sheet metal that can handle more weight and reduce dents. The fact that the tanks are safe also brings environmental benefits,” adds Kjell Norman.

Certifications & Approvals
All our farm tanks are certified as IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers), in compliance with the following regulations and recommendations:
- UN approved (UN recommendations for the transport of, among other things, diesel)
- ADR approved (European regulations concerning international road transport of, among other things, diesel)
- RID approved (International regulations for the transport of, among other things, diesel by rail)
- IMDG approved (Code for international maritime transport of, among other things, diesel)
- NFS 2021:10 Our double-walled farm tanks are constructed according to the NFS 2021:10 standard (Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's regulations for the storage of, among other things, diesel in Swedish water protection areas)
- PEFC The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification – abbreviated PEFC – is a system for certifying environmentally responsible forestry. Farm tanks used by PEFC-certified companies must be UN-marked and have an ADR certificate.
