What is a tank?
A tank used to store flammable liquids, fuels, or chemicals is called a cistern. Cisterns come in various sizes, with the largest capable of holding up to 120 cubic meters of liquid, while the smaller ones typically hold a few cubic meters.
When establishing new cisterns or fueling stations, there are primarily three permits and approvals that must be obtained: a building permit, an environmental notification, and a permit for flammable goods. This is something we at MPP can assist you with.
What certificates and approvals do MPP's diesel tanks meet?
Our diesel tanks are manufactured according to the MSBFS 2018:3 standard, which means they meet the criteria for 12-year inspection intervals (set by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency; regulations and general advice on pipelines for diesel, among others). Our tanks also meet the requirements and are constructed according to the NFS 2021:10 standard (the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s regulations for the storage of diesel, among other substances, within Swedish water protection areas).
With these certifications, all our tanks are environmentally approved.
